About CAWS:
CAWS is a dog and cat rescue organization based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is operated by volunteers who manage the day-to-day functions of the rescue. CAWS primarily works with shelters to rescue dogs and cats, but we are also involved in other areas such as assisting with owner-surrendered animals, helping low-income families with veterinary bills, and helping community cats. CAWS does not have a facility and relies on foster families.

Board President

-Working to build our volunteer support functions

Director of Marketing

Job Type: This is an unpaid volunteer position. CAWS volunteers donate their time so that donations can fund medical care and other expenses for CAWS animals.

Job Description:
CAWS is currently seeking a member of the Board of Directors who can specialize in Marketing and work closely with the Director of Fundraising to raise awareness about events, adoptable animals, and create supporting materials. An ideal candidate would be familiar with:
-Leading teams
-Managing social media, and communications
-Familiarity with Emma Email, Facebook, Instagram

The primary responsibilities include:
-Recruiting and leading volunteers for Marketing efforts
-Meet with the team monthly
-Maintain the CAWS Social Media Accounts
-Create a monthly newsletter
-Advertising for adoption and other events
-Maintaining email distribution lists and assisting with emails for dog fosters, volunteers, etc
-Creating marketing materials
-Help to post fundraisers and adoptable animals
-Prepare the Annual Review Summary

Director of Operations

Job Description:
CAWS is currently seeking a member of the Board of Directors who can specialize in Operations to ensure that contracts are renewed and that our operations are running smoothly.
An ideal candidate would be familiar with:
-Leading teams
-Project management and coordination of teams

The primary responsibilities include:
-Coordinate donations of food and items
-Manage a team to maintain the Hub
-Ensure Key contracts are renewed (DocuSign, insurance, etc)
-Coordinate efforts to register microchips, answer phone messages, email, etc
-Review the Hub location and assist in finding new space if needed
-Help with other efforts as needed

Director – Volunteers

Job Description:
CAWS is currently seeking a member of the Board of Directors who can specialize in Volunteers and work closely with the President to recruit new volunteers and improve volunteer retention.
An ideal candidate would be familiar with:
-Leading teams
-Project management and coordination of teams

The primary responsibilities include:
-Welcoming new volunteers; obtaining waivers
-Meet with the team monthly to coordinate
-Coordinate volunteers to run events such as adoption events, community outreach, etc.
-Create and run a badge program to recognize volunteers
-Help coordinate the monthly newsletter
-Coordinate volunteer highlights or other programs as needed
-Plan the annual Volunteer party
