  • Sasha - Dachshund X Female - 1 year Beware of the Wigglebutt! My name is Sasha and I am 1 year old! I weigh 6 pounds. Yes, I’m a tiny girl, but with a BIG (huge) personality! I love my own humans and friends of my humans! I am still very much a puppy in every sense of the word. I’m energetic and hilarious! I do puppy bite now and then, but not as often as I used to. I enjoy being held and giving kisses! My life before CAWS was pretty sketchy; and sadly my owner didn’t take the time to teach me my manners. That said, I’m all ears (literally) and want to learn all that I can! I love my stuffed toys and enjoy playing in the grass in my foster mom’s backyard. Sometimes I get the zoomies and run figure eight’s until I flop on the ground out of exhaustion! I’m told it’s quite the site to see! I know that I’m ridiculously cute, but my foster mom suggests that before you fall in love with my precious face and floppy ears that you research the mini Dachshund breed. Doxie’s aren’t for everyone (and certainly not for the faint of heart). “A mini Dachshund is challenging and fun, full of mischief, and brimming with love for you (yes, even when they are stealing Kleenex and Q-tips from your bathroom trash can)!” Because of my short legs, a home without a lot of stairs would probably be best. I’m working on my potty training, and, while I’m improving daily, I’m not quite housetrained yet. I don’t have separation anxiety and am completely crate trained. I’m a good eater (not picky). Training will be a snap because I’m very food motivated. My fur is long and silky and the brindle color is beautiful. I’m a bit of a diva, but I’m still adorable. I am an “alert” barker and will save you from the scary mailman or that man-eating squirrel hanging out on your back fence! I currently live with three Chihuahuas and a Golden Retriever and do fairly well. I must admit that sometimes this older pack gets a little annoyed with my high energy and eagerness to play. Did I mention that my foster mom says I am fearless? I’m a carefree girl who wants nothing more than to find her forever family. Please know that I am adorable, confident, kind-hearted, and happy. I’m always up for any fun activity and am really getting the hang of playing with my toys. Because of my size, a home without small children is best. I have recently been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and fully vetted. I will need some help learning my seven basic commands, but I’m smart and willing to learn. That’s my story, except I’m still missing my happily-ever-after ending. I want nothing more than my very own family to watch over!
