  • Raider - Shepherd X Male - Approx 5 months This darling boy is sleek, smart, loving and eager to please. He is about 5 months old and weighs 20 pounds. He is a “German Lab”, meaning a mix of German Shepherd and Labrador! His chin whiskers are adorable. He may triple his size and weigh 60 pounds in a year or so. He loves to play with other dogs and snuggle with his people. He hopes his new family will keep him company so he isn’t lonely, and plays with him or exercises him so he can be calm and relaxed afterwards. He’d love to go to training classes so he can show off how smart he is! This pup is fixed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. He is available to be adopted after Dec 17th. His adoption fee is $300*
  • Hi! My name is Tish. I am named after the beautiful, gothic Mom in the Addams Family. I had six kittens took care of each and every one of them plus I took care of another pair of kittens since I was such a caring, nurturing Momma cat but now all my kittens are grown up and have their own forever homes so my foster Mom says that it is my turn. She says I deserve the best home because I took such great care of my babies and helped another Momma cat with hers, too. I am practically a kitten, myself! You'll see what I mean when you play with me. I am a tortie so that means I have "tortitude!" It means that I am feisty and playful and adventurous! I can keep myself occupied with catnip toys. I may act shy at first but once I realize that I am safe with you then I will be your best friend. I am an independent lady but I love to be cuddled. Just don't fall for the "belly trap!" Ask my foster if you don't know what that is. I don't mind other cats but I may hiss at them if they get too close to me. I like my space and if another cat can give me that then we should be just fine. I can play rough if you encourage that so if you don't want to do that then just make sure you have a feather or toy to play with me. I like to scratch the scratching posts on my cat tower and climb all the way to the top to survey my domain like a queen. I also enjoy cuddling on your bed or on the couch next to you. I love canned food for dinner but will nibble on kibble all day long and I have excellent litter box skills. I taught every one of my kittens to use it well, too! I might be okay with a calm dog who will also give me my space but it would have to be a slow and careful introduction because dogs are scary. I would love older children who are gentle with me but I might play too rough with smaller children. I am active and affectionate and full of life and love. Will you be my family now that it is my turn for a forever home? To meet Tish, please fill out our non-binding application at caws.org!

  • ~~~~~~~~~ SEEING a BETTER LIFE for LIZA ~~~~~~~~~ Imagine living your entire life without eyelids. Sounds crazy, right? Constant dry eye and no protection from the elements; a life with nothing but pain. Meet Liza. This sweet girl was found in a feral cat colony, where she clearly cannot survive. Her eyes are getting worse from the hair rubbing on them causing scratches and making them prone to infections. Enter CAWS! After a vet consult, we opted for a very pricey surgery by an amazing team of veterinary specialists who will literally create eyelids for Liza. Liza will need some extra care, both medically and emotionally. She hasn’t experienced all of the good things that come with being an indoor kitty until now. CAWS is 100% committed to her and her care, and she is currently living in an amazing foster home until she has her surgery and heals to ready for adoption. We estimate Liza’s surgery to cost a hefty $3,500. But we believe she’s well worth all the care that money can buy. Please help us with a tax deductible donation. Any amount, helps us a little closer to helping Liza! To make a donation, please go to our website: https://caws.org/donations/seeing-a-better-life-for-liza/

  • Zeke - Border Collie X Male - Approx 4 months sweet Zeke is learning about the great things in life and is excited to find a family who is willing to be patient with him while he gently learns how wonderful being a beloved pet really is. He is a good quiet boy in his crate and really loves the dad in his foster home. With treats and time he is slowly warming up to his foster mom. Zeke loves to snuggle with the other dogs in his foster home and will need other confident and patient dogs in his adoptive home to learn from. He will need to attend a basic training course (of adopters choice), have help with leash skills and a securely fenced yard. We are pretty sure he is a border collie mix of sorts and around 4 months old. Zeke is fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150 + $50 training deposit.
