Together, we can help Tina!

$530 of $2,500 raised

Confused and unsure of her future, little Tina sat waiting and hoping that she would soon make it safely away from the overcrowded and scary shelter floor. Landing herself in a high-kill shelter was surely terrifying but also trying to hide an underlying problem that would mark her for certain death, was an altogether bigger issue.

With luck on her side, Tina caught the eye of a CAWS team leader and in November of 2019, she was wicked away to safety. Once in our care, she proved to be worth the effort, and so much more. Kind and loving, sweet and snuggly, this little Manchester Terrier was living with severe stomach issues unknown to our volunteers initially. Sadly, we believe she has very likely suffered most of her life without any way to find relief, suffering abuse as well, along the way.

When our organization takes on a dog- we are committed to that dog for LIFE. This means doing whatever it takes to set that deserving animal on a path to a wonderful future.

In sweet little Tina’s case, she was seemingly fine… until she wasn’t. Miserable and embarrassed, she will regurgitate (vomit essentially) unpredictably, and frantically try to conceal or consume it to prevent her from getting into trouble. We assume this is a survival skill learned prior to coming to us.

We have taken her to see various vets, specialists, and clinics. Done studies, observations, and more tests. Her medical costs have run us up to $2500 and counting. We are working closely with our trusted vets to come up with a carefully constructed plan, full of trial and error, to find what is going to work for her. Special foods, medications, and tests are still needed to determine what is going to work.

Tina is so sweet, so forgiving, so loving. After all of the poking, prodding, isolation, confinement and sickness- she is STILL SO SWEET! …and SO deserving of our time to help her feel better, so that she can be safely adopted and go on to live her life to the fullest.

We are committed to seeing her though but we can’t do it without YOUR support.

Our rescue group is funded 100% on the generous and kind donations of our supporters. We need YOUR help to help Tina. Please consider donating today, because together WE can help Tina!

So much appreciation- The CAWS Team
