Suzy needs her leg fixed! The vet gently touched her hip and could immediately tell that the femur bone was not sitting in the hip socket.
Suzy found herself in a kill shelter in NM late in her pregnancy. She was rescued by CAWS and delivered 7 puppies, who have all been adopted. She has always walked like she had hip issues, but we never thought that an old injury had damaged the top of her femur so badly that it wasn’t sitting in the hip socket. The surgery will remove the damaged head of the femur and place the bone back in the hip socket.
