Scooter Needs New Knees
CAWS is a wonderful rescue with a soft spot for the dogs with medical issues. Meet Scooter. Scooter’s previous owner didn’t want to help this sweet boy walk normal so CAWS took him in and is determined that he will walk normal and pain free. He has luxating patella, a condition in which the patella, or kneecap, dislocates or moves out of its normal location. It is incredibly painful and will progressively get worse if surgery is not done.
Scooter loves to cuddle and play but has a hard time with stairs and can’t jump on the couch to cuddle with his foster. That’s just not right! Scooter is still young, just 5 years old, and deserves to live a pain free life full of playing, walks, love, and snuggles.
The estimate for surgery, for both knees, is about $1100. Please help us raise this money for this adorable boy.
UPDATE: Scooter has received treatment! Thank you to everyone who has donated!
