Roo Needs her Hops

$1,010 of $950 raised

Our 35-pound Beagle mix, Roo needs your help today. Roo (short for Kangaroo) was born with a stunted and deformed front left leg. Her leg is totally useless, about half as long as it should be, withered, and ends with a stump, rather than with a foot. As a result, she has always had to carry around this dead weight since birth, never really being able to use it. So she basically has been a tripod from day 1. This stump causes Roo to be extremely off balance as she moves around because it flops back and forth. Roo is just about as precious as a dog can be. She’s gentle, kind-hearted, and so very sweet. She doesn’t realize that she is different than other dogs, but honestly, she does have issues getting around. Her leg can’t be fixed; if it could CAWS would fix it. There is no other choice, but to amputate. Amputations are complex and expensive surgeries. We want her to be able to “get off the porch and run with the big dogs!”

Please help us by donating and sharing her link so that we can get Roo the medical attention she needs to be the best tripod ever! She is so deserving of a chance to be able to run care free and happy, just like any other dog!
