UPDATE – 3/9
Suzie is recovering from her surgery. Her surgery went well and she is up and walking!
Suzie is an adorable, and oh soooo sweet, young female heeler who was abandoned with her sister in a rural area with no one to care for them. They made her way to the nearest truck stop where they relied on the kindness of the refueling truckers to offer them scraps of food. It wasn’t long before it became obvious that hanging out at the truck stop was a dangerous place for two young pups to be and poor, unsuspecting, Suzie was hit by one of those vehicles and left helpless and immobile on the roadside. She was picked up by a good Samaritan and taken to a veterinary clinic where an x-ray showed she had sustained bilateral pelvic fractures.
CAWS is has committed to getting this sweet girl the surgical treatment she needs and giving her the opportunity to live her best life. She will need bilateral FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery followed by several weeks of crate rest and supervised (leash only) potty privileges. Her wonderful foster is eager to get her started on her road to recovery. Your donation will help ensure she gets the care she so desperately needs and is so deserving of.
Thank you to all of Suzie’s kind donors:
