Nova is Looking for a Brighter Day
Her foster is now calling her May, she is happy & crazy! She is acting like a normal puppy, she is now 4 lbs, from 3.2! She said she is eating like crazy & is very smart. She is Houdini, and can get out of any crate or pen, she uses the dog door & can climb the stairs!
Miss Nova is now headed back to her wonderful foster home. After two nights at the emergency vet, we are still unsure what has actually caused her condition. She seems a little better, but is still very sick. Luckily her amazing foster is a vet tech and will do everything necessary for this girl on the long road to recovery! Thanks for all your support and donations!!
Resilient is the first word that came to mind when we met this sweet young pup. Surrendered to the shelter earlier today, Nova is severely malnourished and emaciated. She is said to be 8 weeks old but our vets estimate that she is younger. One of our wonderful CAWS volunteers picked her and after bloodwork we know her blood count is low. In addition, an X-ray showed a fluid filled abdomen. She at an ER vet where we will do our best to save her, possibly including a blood transfusion. Right now we are preparing for anything and will do everything in our power to give this girl a fighting chance. Can you help us get her the care she needs?
