Moose – Donation Match!

UPDATE!

Wow, as always we are blown away by your generosity! Moose had his life saving surgery, and other than losing his spleen, the vet said the surgery went very well and he expects a full recovery! Looks like we caught it just in time as the stomach tissue was just starting to die. Moose was released last night and is loving lounging in the grass at his foster home! Meet Moose!  He just cant seem to catch a break.  He landed in a local shelter a couple weeks ago.  This super sweet 140 lb boy is way too big to spend any length of time in a run!  We offered to take him, but he had a potential adopter, so the shelter wanted them to adopt.  Fast forward to today, the shelter reached out to us again, the adopter fell through and Moose was going stir crazy in the shelter.  Luckily we had someone step up immediately to drive out and get him safe with CAWS!  His foster picked him up tonight and immediately noticed something was wrong.  His stomach was swollen, he was spitting up, and couldn’t eat or drink.  We were unaware he was ill at all, so his foster quickly whisked him to the local emergency vet where he was diagnosed with bloat and needs immediate surgery!  We didn’t plan for this at all, and his surgery is quoted at $5500.  We have had an amazing donor step up and offer to match every dollar donated for Moose’s emergency surgery!  So we need to raise $2750 to get this sweet big guy the surgery he desperately needs as soon as possible!  Can you spare a dollar or two?  Remember, each dollar you donate will be $2 towards Moose’s medical care!
