Kyle’s Broken Leg

$700 of $1,100 raised

UPDATE:

Kyle’s surgery was a success! He will need to be on kennel rest for 8 weeks.  Thank you to everyone who has donated!

Kyle has a broken leg.

This adorable puppy is in desperate need after being dropped at a shelter with a broken leg.

No one is quite sure of this little guy’s story, but whatever he’s endured, it hasn’t diminished his delightful personality. Sandy shelter officials noticed Kyle (named for one of the vet’s treating him) had an issue with one of his back legs, so they took him to Willow Creek Pet Center to have it diagnosed. A donor paid for the diagnostic x-rays, which revealed he had a broken leg.

The good news is that Kyle’s prognosis is excellent, but it will take a community effort to help this loving little guy. Because he’s an energetic 8-month old pup, the doctor is recommending a metal plate be surgically implanted to stabilize his leg for the rest of his (hopefully) active, adventurous life.

The bad news is that kind of surgery is very expensive.

The surgeon has agreed to perform the surgery this week for half of the usual cost. One donor already contributed $300, but Kyle needs another $1,100 in order to have the surgery. CAWS has agreed to foster sweet Kyle, who is a staff favorite at Willow Creek where they’re boarding him for free, so he doesn’t have to recover in a shelter.

So many have come together to give this guy a chance at a normal life, and we just need a bit more help. Please contribute what you can to Kyle’s medical needs, and we promise to see that he finds the kind of home a sweet, resilient pup like him deserves!

Kyle is still recovering at Willow Creek Pet Center and her needs our help!
