Jade and Angel Eyes!

$105 of $1,200 raised

UPDATE – 12/21:

BIG Thanks to everyone for helping us to help these senior kitties! Jade was able to get her dental and is doing really well! We suspect now that she is feeling better she will start looking better too! Angel Eyes is making daily improvements, which we are thankful for! After undergoing some testing it’s been discovered that she is also diabetic. We are working closely with our trusted vet to get her ironed out and feeling her best. We will keep you updated ❤ Thank you to all of our many supporters for pitching in and helping us help these senior kitties!

Here is a story about two very different senior cats with very similar situations- both dire, both desperate, both SO very deserving of help. Both girls were dropped at Rural Utah shelters for euthanasia and thankfully caught the eye of a compassionate shelter worker who reached out to CAWS for help!

Jade comes to us from a hoarding situation, who needed help when her home was condemned and she landed at the shelter. Her situation is heartbreaking: 10 years old, arriving with a mouth full of painful and rotting teeth, skinny from not being able to absorb and process nutrition properly, and terrified. Even in horrendous and desperate conditions, Jade is as sweet as they come and still hopeful for survival.

Angel Eyes, also has a deeply sad story, complete with a loving but senior owner who passed, unable to care for her in the years leading up to her passing. Sadly, Angel Eyes was then dropped off at the shelter for euthanasia. This 16-year-old girl, so sweet, could barely lift her head when she arrived at CAWS. Dehydrated, packing a mouthful of overdue dental work, sunken eyes, emaciated, and completely defeated.

A tale of two very different senior kitties, both desperate for medical help. Our volunteers have immediately jumped in to address any immediate care and concerns and have been able to stabilize both cats. Both girls are showing improvement and appreciation for the compassion they are being given.

The part where we need your help is to afford the dental, bloodwork, and testing that will further get these girls feeling their best so that they can live out their lives.

We need help and donations to do that! Please consider donating today to help us raise the money needed to get them the help they are so deserving of!

Thank you to all of Luna’s kind donors:
