Helping Freddy Get Well!
Update – 4/25
Freddy has been getting regular physical therapy from the amazing Dr. Joshua Hall at Salt Lake Animal Physical Therapy and is regaining feeling in his arm! It’s a slow process, waiting for nerves to regrow, but we are committed to giving Freddy the chance to keep his arm. He is such an active boy, we just know he would do better with four legs if it’s possible. He is feeling good these days, and is back to all his favorite activities: fetch, hiking, and snuggling on the couch. We would appreciate any donations to his physical therapy so we can give sweet Freddy the best chance to succeed!
Sweet guy Freddy was found dragging a leg and taken to one of our local shelters who reached out to CAWS for help! We are not sure where he came from, or how he was injured but after seeing our trusted vets we feel the urge to save his leg, which isn’t broken and appears to have nerve damage- after all, 4 is better than 3! To add to this physical injury, we think Freddy may have also suffered a brain injury and is presenting with neurological symptoms as well.
Was he hit by a vehicle? Possibly.
Is he deserving of care and help- ABSOLUTELY!
Add that this boy is soft, sweet, and oh-so-loving. Physical therapy, acupuncture, and meds are in store to save the leg while we work on low stimulation, crate rest, and proper nutrition to support his healing brain. Can you help us, help Freddy? Please consider donating to help us afford this immediate medical care!
We love sweet Freddy, thank you for helping us help him! <3
