HELP Roxanne get on the road to recovery!

UPDATE – 7/20

As you can see Roxanne looks much better. She’s hardly licking or scratching at all, and she seems to have more energy as well. She has one more round of Simparica in 2 weeks, and about 5-6 days left on the other meds.

UPDATE – 5/29

Roxanne is continuing to make improvements! This little girl has likely been struggling with allergies for a long time, but with the help of a diet change & meds, she seems to be making improvements! She is doing wonderfully in her foster home & they love her sweet, happy personality!

UPDATE – 4/23

Roxanne is doing wonderfully in her foster home!  She is very sweet, gentle & almost perfect!  We are still waiting for some test results back, and at this point don’t know the cause of her skin issues. Her foster is currently giving her medications and she gets her weekly scrub & bath.  She is showing small improvements in the condition of her skin, she is less itchy & scabby.  Her paws are looking less red & swollen.  This sweet girl is a trooper and we can’t wait to see her continue to improve!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How much time has to pass before a dog gets the medical attention that is so desperately needed? How does one watch as an animal lingers, day after day, in so much pain and discomfort? Was Roxanne’s family unable to provide her the care she was longing for?

We just don’t know, and we never will. We are equally horrified, nonetheless.

Roxanne was up as a stray in this horrific condition. Who were her people? Where did she come from? How long has she been suffering? All unknown. Most of her hair is gone, her feet are swollen and cracked, and she is covered in painful bleeding scabs.

What we DO know is that Roxanne is soft, and sweet. She has been nothing but gracious and gentle with all of the shelter staff and now our volunteers.

We are committed to giving her the care, treatment and relief that she has been longing for, and that she absolutely deserves! This very sweet and loving girl will have a long road ahead of her and undoing this injustice will take time, care, and many various medical treatments. Can you help us?
