At just 1 year old, scared and alone, Kyra found herself in the dark. We mean this very literally. After a horrific and tragic turn of events, Kyra and 4 of her nearly lifeless 3 week old puppies, were pulled from a dark and neglectful situation to discover that she literally could not see. Our hearts broke for this girl, so young and already so much tragedy in her life.
Kyra thankfully made her way to us where after raising her remaining 4 puppies, and sending them off to wonderful families, we are now able to get this girl back to a place where she is happy and healthy.
Now to solve her serious medial issue – Glaucoma.
There is a surgery that can fix her eyes. It’s expensive but we think she deserves to see and our vet believes she could regain 100% of her vision.
After watching her eye swell with pain and pressure for months now and using every eye drop under the sun and seeing multiple specialists- It’s been determined that she is the perfect candidate for this special sight recovering surgery. Without surgery, her eyes will need to be removed in 1-2 years.
She is just 1 year old! With her future looking bright, we want to give her the gift of sight. It’s estimated that we will need $3000 do to so.
