GivingTuesday
Like many organizations, donations and fundraising for CAWS has gone down this year. However, the need for our services is higher than ever. We get requests every day for help with injured and abandoned animals, people who need to surrender their animals, overflowing shelters, and help with services.
Your support funds transport and rescue for more than 1300 cats and dogs, trap-neuter-vaccinate-return and medical care for community cats, and low-income support for owned pets. As part of our rescue work, CAWS works hard to ensure animals that are most at risk on the street or in shelters — elderly, sick or injured, and neonatal — are not overlooked and are given the best possible chance to live happy, healthy lives.

Be the Hero for Dogs Like Trooper
This sweet boy was found alone, exhausted, and barely hanging on—wandering one of the most desolate trails above Eagle Mountain. A good Samaritan came across him by sheer chance. This poor pup didn’t even try to run. He just sat there, too weak to move, too tired to hope.
Severely emaciated and suffering from dehydration, Trooper was taken to a local shelter. No one came to claim him. CAWS stepped up to help. After being treated for multiple parasites, Trooper began to gain weight. He is being treated for seizures, but despite his troubles, Trooper’s tail is still wagging while he waits for his forever home.
Will you help us save dogs like Trooper?

Cats Like Radar Need Your Help
Sweet Radar O’Reilly was born into a feral colony. The colony caretaker noticed his eyes getting larger and contacted CAWS. Fortunately, despite this being his first time in a home and having close contact with people, Radar seemed to warm up quickly.
CAWS helped him get a double enucleation, as his condition was very painful. He’s now adjusting to life as a housecat and hoping to find his forever home soon.
Can you make a difference for cats like Radar?
- $13 provides a rabies vaccination for a dog or cat
- $25 covers the cost of a cat neuter
- $35 helps provide a full set of vaccinations for a puppy
- $50 helps to purchase a trap for our TNR program, helping manage the community cat population and ensuring they receive the proper care needed to thrive
- $75 provides much-needed support for our low-income veterinary program, helping community members with emergency medical needs for their owned pets
- $100 covers the cost of a dog spay
CAWS invites you to join us during GivingTuesday! By supporting CAWS today, you are helping to ensure that every dog and cat in our community has a safe place to call home during the holiday season and into the future.
