Getting Alvin Back on Track
$475 of $2,200 raised
Good boy, Alvin, arrived on a transport van, scared and confused. Once settled into his foster home he blossomed into a happy, playful, busy puppy who is around 9-10 months old.
Shortly after arriving and feeling VERY confident of himself, this silly puppy, while in a fit of enthusiasm, slipped through the fence to chase and harass the resident horse- who kicked in defense. This broke Alvin’s short little front leg. Fortunately, the break has healed well! Unfortunately, his growth plate is damaged and is causing his leg to be out of alignment. This is causing a tremendous amount of pain. If not corrected, it will lead to him not having ANY use of the leg. Poor little low-rider, can’t seem to catch a break!
After narrowly surviving certain death in a high-kill shelter, and then making long transport to safety, getting him this quality-of-life surgery is not optional!
We have consulted with our trusted Orthopedic surgeon; we feel very optimistic about the surgery and recovery! They estimate our cost to provide this relief to start at $2200. We need donations to help offset these costs and get the surgery he is now desperate for. Please consider donating to help us reach this goal.
Thank you for helping us, help Alvin!
