UPDATE:

Gemma is in a foster home, that is considering adopting her! She will be doing a follow up with the vet this week, to review the blood work & make sure she is gaining weight. Once she is at a healthy weight, we will do her spay. We appreciate all the financial support to help sweet Gemma on her journey!

Abandoned, unwanted, cold, scared, alone, confused… Can you imagine nearing the end of your life in a shelter? No point in eating, so many scary noises, cold floor, who are these people? Meet Gemma. She has been all of this and more for the past 2 months. Sitting on a cold adoption floor, waiting for her people to find her, come for her, and it never happens- so she succumbs to this life, her eyes are dulling.
Our volunteers could no longer take it- Gemma is now a CAWS dog. Fearing she would die alone and leave this world another forgotten soul, we now have her in our warm and loving care. Gemma is in bad shape, she is very underweight, malnourished and has all but shut down. Tonight she sleeps on a warm bed, surrounded by love and light from our volunteer team. A soft touch, a gentle voice, a warm meal. We need your help to provide her the much needed medical care that she is desperate for at this time. Please consider donating to help us help Gemma.
