Calypso
UPDATE – 1/12
Sweet calypso is relaxing and healing after her amputation last week. We can tell that she is already more comfortable and has already started to adjust to being a tripod.
When it rains at CAWS, it pours.
Currently, we are raining amputations and orthopedic repairs.
Sweet little Calypso is our third little kitty in the last month, desperate for help with a limb. This sweet, scared, and sad little kitty is missing a foot on her front leg, from her thumb forward, and has been suffering for far too long. Her little stump is beaten up and uncomfortable. Her reasons for ending up in a shelter in this condition will never be known. In an attempt to use what’s left of her limb she is causing further damage and our trusted Veterinarian feels strongly that her best shot at a good quality of life is to remove the irreparable limb.
This surgery is fairly straight forward and cats do considerably well as tripods However it comes at a cost of about $700 for our team. Please help us bring this sweetie the relief she is longing to receive by donating to help us cover the costs of her care.
Many thanks for your support!
