Bringing Igor Relief!
We are so happy to report that our little Igor is feeling better and getting stronger each day with the care he is receiving! These babies are finally able to breathe and keep their little eyes open.
Igor has been willingly eating on his own and has been much more active and brighter, eyes wide open, talking and seeking affection from his foster. Little Poindexter has also bounced back and is wanting to explore and play as well!
We are SO thankful for the outpouring of support from all of you, and in the way of your donations. We will keep you all updated with their continued progress and hope to have baby Igor feeling good enough to undergo surgery to address his ruptured eye, very soon! ❤️
After seeing the *extremely graphic* photos of a sad little kitten with a ruptured eyeball, our team immediately went to work to secure a safe place with swift medical treatment to help!
After receiving him and his littermate into our care it was immediately clear that (if you can believe it) he had more serious concerns then just his eye needing addressed! With eyes glued shut with infection, the one eye ruptured and needing removal, and both kitty babies struggling to breathe, we immediately pulled out the stops- this wee little kitten, just skin on bones and 1.34 lbs- needed food, fluids, medication, and the maximum TLC we could give.
After just 24 hours of warmth and love, both of these babies are doing (if just a little) better and both have started giving sweet little booger-laced purrs, letting us know they appreciate the help. They are not out of the clear, however, and will need around the clock care for the immediate future, and possibly longer. We have hope, and they have fight! Please consider a donation to help us, help them!
Kittens are plentiful these days it seems, but not one is any less deserving of love and care. Please help us by donating to get them the care they deserve so that we can get them on the path to happily-ever-after!
Thank you for your consideration- The CAWS Team!
