You’re young, you’re playful and energetic. You just need some direction on where you can place all of your energy. You do something “wrong” and you’re punished and end up with a broken femur. Even worse, you don’t get the care you need and you’re living with a painful broken leg for weeks.
This is Blackbird’s sad story.
Blackbird is a young pup. All he wants is to play and receive love. He came to CAWS desperately needing help to fix his broken leg. We are working with one of our vet partners to try and save his leg. Because of the length of time that his broken bones were left without treatment, there is only a 50-60% chance it will heal properly. We will do all we can to help him regain the use of his leg and live the full, pain free life he deserves. If his leg cannot be fixed, we will have to amputate as a last resort. All of this care comes with a hefty cost of over $1500. Can you please help Blackbird fix his broken wing and learn to fly?
