Al’s Amputation

$750 of $750 raised

Every now and then we meet a dog that if he could talk, would have a big story to tell us.

Many times we never know the whole story, other times not knowing might just be a blessing.
Meet Al, short for Al Pachino, named for the numerous cuts and scars covering his head and face.
Unfortunately a guy like Al is sure to be overlooked in a crowded, high-kill shelter.  Black, pit mix types of dogs just don’t have much luck, and it’s worse when they are packing a badly damaged front leg and a face full of history.
After getting the attention of a fast thinking CAWS volunteer, Al narrowly escaped death on the 11th hour.
Now that he has made his way to safety we are committed to giving this boy the life, health, and happiness that he deserves. After an exam with our trusted vets, it has been determined that the leg must come off.
We aren’t sure what Al’s life was like prior to coming to CAWS.  We don’t know anything about his past, but we can tell you he has many adventures to come!
Will you help us to get sweet Al on the road to a pain-free, adventure-filled life?
100% of your donation will go to help cover medical expenses and are tax-deductible!
AL and CAWS thanks you for your donation and for your unwavering support!
