Cricket | Male | ~4 months | Border Collie mix Cricket and his three siblings were found abandoned on the side of the highway near Fillmore before making their way to CAWS. Now, at about four months old, Cricket is ready for a home of his own. Cricket is a happy, affectionate, and hilarious little guy who tends to take the world as it comes. He loves people, has done wonderfully with other dogs and kids of all ages, thinks cats are quite delightful, and is generally game for whatever is happening. He loves to play, loves getting out for walks, and loves belly rubs and lap cuddles. Like any four-month-old puppy, he’s active, rambunctious, goofy, occasionally all feet, and still learning his manners, including not jumping up when he gets excited. Cricket does well in his crate, sleeps through the night, and is doing really well with potty training. He’s an eager-to-please, enthusiastic little dog who will need continued training and plenty of opportunities to play, learn, and explore. Cricket can be adopted now, with the understanding that his adopter will need to bring him in for his remaining puppy vaccines and for the neuter appointment CAWS will arrange when he is approximately six months old. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $300.
