Ducky | Female | ~4 months | Border Collie mix Ducky and her three siblings were found abandoned the side of the highway near Fillmore before making their way to CAWS. Now, at about four months old, Ducky is ready for a home of her own. Ducky is a sweet, endearing, affectionate, and very funny little puppy who loves being near her people. She’ll follow you around, sit at your feet, crawl into your lap, anything to be nearby. She can be a little cautious and overwhelmed with new things and looks to her people for reassurance, but she’s curious about the world and the fun it offers. She has done wonderfully with other dogs, with kids of all ages, and with cats. She loves walks, does well in her crate, sleeps well through the night, and is getting started with potty training. She’s still very much a puppy, so she’ll need continued training, patience, and plenty of opportunities to play and explore. Ducky can be adopted now, with the understanding that her adopter will need to bring her in for her remaining puppy vaccines and for the spay appointment CAWS will arrange when she is approximately six months old. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $300.
