Meet Gretel! Gretel is an adorable 6–7 month old Retriever/Shepherd mix with a beautiful aura and the sweetest personality. She is silly, affectionate, playful, and incredibly loyal to her people. Once Gretel trusts you, she really trusts you, and she just wants to be loved and close to her people. Gretel absolutely loves being outside and would happily spend all day outdoors if she could! She enjoys playtime, zoomies, belly rubs, chew toys, and puzzles. She’s very treat-motivated, which makes training rewarding and fun, and her love of puzzles shows just how smart she is. She is mostly potty trained and and is getting more comfortable and confident in her crate as she learns that it’s a safe place to relax. New experiences and unfamiliar situations can make Gretel nervous at first, but she has a wonderful ability to trust her people. With a little reassurance and patience, she warms up quickly and gains confidence. Once she feels comfortable, her silly and loving personality truly shines. Gretel is the kind of dog who will give her whole heart to the people she trusts. She is affectionate, playful, loyal, and incredibly lovable, and she has so much potential to blossom with the right family. She’ll need a patient family who will continue helping her build confidence and allow her to adjust at her own pace. A fenced-in yard would be ideal for Gretel so she can enjoy her favorite things: being outside, playing, and getting those zoomies out! In return, she’ll give her family endless affection, loyalty, and plenty of silly moments to love. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
