Meet Jasper! This 7.6 lb is just over 7 years old. This cutie loves to snuggle and get scratches. He gently paws at you to be held or pet. At first, he may whine until you hold or snuggle him. But don’t be fooled, this guy is no push over, he will let you know if he doesn’t like something. Try to move him from his warm couch or get him to go into a crate and he may growl and, after fair warning, nip. But he doesn’t need to be in a crate and does fine home alone (he goes potty outside and won’t chew or scratch anything). After feeling comfortable in your home, he will become playful and spin in circles. He loves to be warm and lay in the sun. He does fine with his foster siblings, unless they threaten his chance of getting snuggles, then he may growl. He won’t run away (he’s too smart to do that). He does great on a leash and loves warm walks. He needs a family who understands his chihuahua ways, will appreciate his funny personality, and will give him time to adjust. Jasper does not mind children but would do best with older kids.
