Spice is my name, charming humans is my game! I am a 1-year-old Chihuahua-Terrier mix (and probably a few other breeds) who is one of the happiest, sweetest pups you'll ever meet. I survived a horrific hoarding situation, but I've adjusted to my foster home like a champ. I went from struggling to walk normally to running like a rabbit, and I am almost completely potty trained. I am crate trained, but I'm also trustworthy to roam the house, especially if I have a pile of toys to guard. I'm great with cats, especially ones who like to wrestle little dogs. I haven't met any children, but I can be scared of new people at first so older children or very dog savvy kids might be best for me. I love toys and other dogs SOOOO much that I really need to go to a home where there is another dog for me to play with and learn from. I am gaining confidence everyday, and I need humans who are committed to socializing me and taking me to training and on adventures because I deserve an amazing life. I love to snuggle humans, especially my foster dad. I'll play with dogs of all sizes, and I love wrestling my foster sister (also a Chihuahua-Terrier mix) and following the big dogs around the yard as they patrol for intruders. I don't bark very much, but I will follow the lead of other dogs - good and bad, loud or quiet. I sleep by myself in a cat bed, but I like to sleep near humans or other dogs. I think I have an independent streak, but I need help gaining confidence to walk on a leash and venture out into the big, wide world. I'm pretty food motivated in training, but what I really love are pets and snuggles. I am a really loving, good girl who deserves a loving, loyal pack. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
