Are you retired or work from home and want a cinnamon doughnut-dog to keep you company? Look no further! Candy is a 4 year old chihuahua mix who has a lot of love and attention to give. She is very smart and shows signs of having been trained, but needs consistent boundaries and reinforcement to really fine tune her understanding of good manners and to build confidence. She lives with 2 senior dogs and a cat in her foster home. Tolerance is granted from all sides, but Candy would thrive without competition for her peoples attention. In a multi-dog home, she would find her place, given mindful introductions and the right blend of personality types. Her energy level will match yours (after an initial rocket blast for transitions: first wake up, when you come home). She keeps pace with a power walk, and has the potential to be a great hiking or outdoor buddy. Truly; as long as she is in line of sight of her people, she is content. Things that would not be compatible with Candy: small children and being left alone for long periods of time. Are you ready to have your best buddy and a Candy-coated life? Let’s meet! Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
